Michael's House

This Grade II listed Gothic Revival House was reputedly built for the mistress of the Mayor of Bristol in c.1860.
In recent times the property was converted into a HMO, with inappropriate and un-consented works including an overbearing roof extension to create a third floor attic bedroom.
The house was bought by our brave clients, despite an enforcement notice for the demolition of the attic extension and need for rewiring and renewal of all services. We worked closely with the Conservation department to reinstate and repair many of the original features and developed a new attic extension to provide two additional light and airy bedrooms that complemented the Gothic Revival character of the house.
The property became a much loved family home, later sold for three times the purchase price.
